“The King is Coming” is one of my favorite songs written by Gloria and Bill Gaither.
As we come to the end of the year, we celebrate Christmas-the birth of Jesus Christ in the flesh-His first coming. He is the Promised One, the Messiah, Prince of Peace, Savior and King. The prophets foretold His coming, the Jews looked and longed for His coming. The Magi came seeking “where is He who has been born King of the Jews?” Sadly, most of the Jews did not see or receive Jesus as King. Jesus lived, died, was buried, arose and ascended into heaven. Today we declare His second coming “The King is Coming, the King is coming, praise God, He’s coming for me!” Jesus is the greatest gift of all!!!

It’s time to wrap up 2023! I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by! We have a couple events left to finish out the year. On December 8th we will have a Parents’ Night Out from 4:00-9:00pm. Please RSVP no later than December 4th by emailing me at abby@fbcsville.com or calling the church office. On December 15th we will have our Buckley-Carpenter Christmas party in the CAC! We appreciate everyone who will help by contributing gifts for the kids! For more details about this great event, you can call the church office! On December 17th we will have our Christmas party in the Hub for kids in PreK-6th grade, during Children’s Church at 10:15am! Merry Christmas!

The youth just had an event at the Lynn's farm. They had a bonfire and enjoyed a night time hayride. We have our annual Christmas party on Dec. 13, which we will have a gingerbread house building contest and other activities. Merry Christmas!
